Ry’s Sunbutter Muddy Buddies

This might be one of the easiest, snacks I’ve made. Only four ingredients, and no cooking (unless you count microwaving as cooking, I don’t because my mother was superhuman and the microwave was for decoration).

The only real tips i have are to stir in the sunbutter/butter mixture in batches, and if you have gloves to mix it with the cereal it is SO much easier than using the spatula. Also, add whatever you want—M&Ms, pretzels, if you can have nuts or dried fruit—I added cayenne pepper.

Ingredients

4 cups rice or corn Chex cereal

1/2 cups Ry’s Cocoa Sunbutter

1/4 cup butter

1 cups powdered sugar, divided

Instructions

Measure the 4 cups of cereal on to a cookie sheet. Set aside.

Place the Ry’s Cocoa Sunbutter and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Heat at 50% power for 2 minutes, stirring intermittently until smooth.

Pour melted Sunbutter mixture over cereal and gently toss. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to cool, BUT NOT HARDEN.

Transfer chocolate covered cereal to large paper bag. Pour in 1/2 cup powdered sugar, roll top of bag down, and shake. Refrigerate again to fully harden, about 15 minutes. Add last 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and shake again to combine.

Enjoy!
