Air Fryer Plantains
These turned out even better than I hoped! My one recommendation is to pat them dry before putting them in the air fryer, but you don’t have to.
Ingredients
2 plaintains, the greener the better
Oil of your choice. I like grapeseed, but olive oil works well too
1 tsp salt
Bowl of water
Instructions
Peel plantains. Use a knife to cut creases and then peel away skin
Slice thin. I used a mandolin, but a nice sharp knife works as well.
Soak plantain slices in water with salt, at least 15 minutes.
Drain plaintains, pat dry with paper towels
Toss with a little oil
Heat air fryer to 400 degrees (205 c)
Place plaintains flat in basket
Air fry for about 6 minutes
And you’re done, sprinkle a little salt on them and dip into
your favorite flavor of Ry’s Sunbutter. Enjoy!
